Gembrook Hill Chardonnay 1998
Refined and elegant, this Chardonnay is made to age well. Of a beautiful straw-yellow hue, it displays an excellent array of subtle lemon, melon and peach flavours on the nose. The palate is intense and tight with flavours of melon and citrus brought together with added complexity from the use of French oak. The result is an outstanding wine with delicate, lingering flavours. This wine can be cellared for up to six years.
Sommelier's Tip: Serve with antipasto.

Gembrook Hill Pinot Noir 1998
This wine strongly resembles a French Cote de Nuit with its medium-red colour and aromas of dark, sweet cherries, vanilla, wild mushrooms and concentrated oak. The palate reveals a lovely, sweet, vanilla oak flavour with pleasing gamy overtones. It finishes well with a great length of flavour with hints of ripe stewed fruit. Cellar this beauty for up to eight years.
Sommelier's Tip: Try this with game meats.

Gembrook Hill Sauvignon Blanc 1999
In the glass this wine reveals a pale straw colour with a greenish tinge. The nose is exquisitely French Sauvignon Blanc with aromas of freshly cut grass, ripe gooseberry and green beans. Fresh and lively on the palate, this medium-bodied wine displays a very fine balance of fruit and acid.
Sommelier's Tip: A great wine to serve with oysters.

Geoff Weaver Chardonnay 1998
Renowned in the Adelaide Hills to produce the best Chardonnay for a decade, Geoff has done it again. This pure jewel gives off a yellow green hue. This fine style displays creamy melon, ripe white peach and Granny Smith apple scents on the nose with overtones of nutty oak characters. These sumptuous flavours are also savoured on the palate. Still a young, full wine, it possesses great overall depth, and finishes with impressively subtle fruit/acid balance at the finish.

Sommelier's Tip: Serve with a simple chicken dish.

Geoff Weaver Cabernet Merlot 1997
This refined, densely crimson red has a youthful nose of fresh mint and raspberry/mulberry jam. The palate has fresh, rich, minty flavours combined with jammy, berry fruit. Nicely balanced by a clever use of French barrels, this blend finishes with great acid. Cellar for ten years or more.
Sommelier's Tip: Serve with duck in orange sauce!

Geoff Weaver Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 1999
This cooler climate, Bordeaux-like style has a ruby red hue with tantalizing scents of red currant, blackcurrant, dark cherries and crushed eucalyptus leaves. Clever blending has created a complex, medium-bodied wine which has an elegant fruit structure with a harmony of flavours and acid complexity. With a lingering depth at the finish, it is a tightly structured wine made to keep and enjoy.

Geoff Weaver Chardonnay 1997
This is a fine, understated style that boasts creamy melon and peach fruit with vanilla oak characters, and great complexity. Still very youthful, this generous wine has long and abundant flavours of cashews, melon and peach fruit. With great overall depth, it has impressive soft and subtle fruit/acid balance finish. This is a top wine from a clever winemaker. Keep for six to seven years.

Geoff Weaver Riesling 1998
Straw in colour, this wine has a fresh limey aroma on the nose lifted by a clean lemon zest and a hint of kerosene. The palate is clean with excellent long limey flavours and a tightly structured green apple tingle with a crisp lingering finish. This wine will cellar for over ten years.

Impressive stuff! This fabulous wine displays a typical Adelaide Hills fruit concentration. The nose has distinctive, ripe, tropical fruit, green apple and floral aromas underlaid by yeasty fermentation characteristics. Rich and oily in texture with herbaceous, tropical fruit flavours, it finishes with freshness, clarity and length. Cellar for more than four years.

This rich Chardonnay from an excellent year was fermented in small French oak barrels and left on lees for ten months. The wine has a complex nutty aroma, concentrated ripe peach and melon flavours with oak characters which have integrated fully. It has been aged in the bottle for a further eight months prior to release. Enjoyable now and capable of several years cellaring.

Glenguin Merlot 1998
A vibrant purple red colour, distinctive spicy plum characters and full, ripe grape tannins are the hallmarks of this wine. It is a full- bodied style made in a long, dry growing season with great fruit weight, rich flavours and layers of silky tannins. Matured in new and one-year-old French barrels for twelve months prior to bottling, this wine has terrific staying power. Drinking well now with primary fruit characters to the fore, this wine will develop further over many years.

This crisp and refreshing handcrafted white wine combines spicy aromas with citrus fruit flavours in a mouthwatering style. This unwooded wine matches the full flavoured gooseberry, lime and tropical fruit characters of McLaren Vale Sauvignon Blanc with the light lemon citrus finish of Hunter Semillon. Cellar for up to three years.

Glenguin Shiraz 1998
This elegant Shiraz from the Hunter Valley is a ruby purple colour with aromas of licorice, spice, raw red berry and dark Belgium chocolate on the nose. It has masses of spicy fruit flavour nicely balanced by fine acid. This well structured wine finishes with lovely soft tannins. This wine will continue to improve in the cellar for up to ten years or more.

Gold Mountain Dry Red 1998
An intense medium-red in hue, this wine has a delicate nose of ripe blackcurrant, eucalyptus and vanilla oak character. Of a mellow and smooth style, it has a medium fruit weight, some density on the palate with good retention of flavours on the finish. Keep it for up to three years in the cellar.
Sommelier's Tip: Serve with grilled lobster.

Gold Mountain Dry White 1997
This blend of Riesling and Chardonnay is a soft straw colour. The nose gives off lemon and citrus scents and faint floral Riesling aromas. Smooth and fruity, this wine is easy to drink and rewards with great depth of flavour. A stunning dry white to be drunk now.

Grand Ridge Shiraz 1998
The deep red-purple of this wine is particularly attractive. It has an intense marmalade of berry fruit on the nose with attractive undertones of Tabasco and oak scents. Its complex palate, with sweet berry fruit flavours, possesses an edge of pepper and will integrated sweet oak. It is a well-structured wine with a lingering finish. Can be cellared for up to five years.
