Haselgrove "Picture Series" Chardonnay 1999
Smart wine at a great price, this Mc Laren Vale Chardonnay is a fine example of the area. The nose is clean and fresh with melon and nectarine fruits. It has subtlety, elegance, length and harmony with a hint of sweetness.

A deep red-purple in colour, this wine has aromas of ripe plums, mulberries and hints of smoky cigar box scents on the nose. Taste the richness of the fruit combined with lush, spiced American oak. An intense and elegant wine with a finish of length and grip. Keep for up to seven years.

Hamilton Burton's Vineyard Shiraz Grenache 1997
This is a gorgeous, spicy style of shiraz; vivid purple, very fresh, fruit-driven with sweet berry and licorice flavour,s. Warm and elegant, the palate displays density and fleshy richness of fruit and finishes with power. This beauty can be cellared for at least 5 years.

Hamilton Centurion Shiraz 1998
This wine has a strong, lifted aroma of mint, plums and chocolate with hints of shaved oak. The warm, youthful palate is balanced by good rich fruit and oak integration. The mid-palate is intense but elegant with flavours that linger at the finish. Cellar for up to eight years.

This classy, savoury and complex Chablis styled Chardonnay has a pale yellow hue and a gorgeous bouquet of apricots, peach, butterscotch and vanilla oak. The palate reveals a satisfying fullness of apricot, mineral and butterscotch flavours. A wine of excellent weight and structure with a crisp, long finish. Cellar for a few years.

Of a lovely pale yellow hue, this unique style has an attractive floral, fig, spice and apricot nose. Soft, medium-weight and rich in the mouth, this beauty finishes with great length and flavour.

Hamilton Gumprs' Block Shiraz 1998
In typical Mc Laren Vale style, the nose of this Shiraz has well-developed dried-plum, spiced raspberry, star anise and oak aromas. Ripe and fleshy on the palate, it still retains elegance and harmony with great fruit depth at the finish. A fabulous wine which can be cellared for more than seven years.

This is a medium-bodied red of considerable character. It exudes aromas of Eastern spice, crushed grapes and mixed red berries. A fruit-driven wine, it is intense and beautifully balanced, and finishes with great depth and finesse. Lie this one down for more than seven years.

Hamilton The Slate Quarry Riesling 1999
This terrific value-for-money Riesling is bracing green-apple, tangy lime and doughy and flower aromas. Generous and classically dry palate, this wine is delicate, fresh with lovely lime and dough characters. The green-apple acidity gives a clean crisp finish. Keep for up to five years.

Hamilton Shiraz Grenache Marion Vineyard 1997
With aromas of oak, lanolin, cherry/berry, spice and cinnamon, this wine is a beauty. The palate exhibits good overall depth, expression and structure with the soft, sweet cherry fruit living beyond expectation on the plate. Great to drink now and will age well for 5 years or more.

Haselgrove Cabernet Merlot 1998
This is a crowd-pleaser! The hue is warm, and the aromas are a blend of blackberry, blackcurrant and cedar vanilla oak. This well crafted wine displays sweet berry fruit on the palate nicely balanced by good acid and excellent oak. This wine can be kept to develop further for up to six years.

Hesperos Shiraz 1999
Of a colour deep and promising, this wine proffers delicious aromas of licorice, cinnamon and crushed nutmeg with subtle plum undertones. The palate is rich and fleshy with plenty of soft, delicate tannins balanced by gentle spiced, plum, fruit flavours and a long finish. This wine has loads of appeal. Drink over the next ten years.

Howard Park Chardonnay 1998
The nose of this appealing yellow wine exhibits a blend of tropical and ripe melon fruits. This robust Chardonnay, made in Western Australia, displays a range of rich fruit flavours reinforced by the a subtle vanilla oak substructure. The palate has a creamy texture and its flavours linger at the finish. This wine can be cellared for five to ten years.

Hundred Tree Hill Cabernet 1998
This cooler climate Bordeaux-like style has a stunning depth of red-purple colour with an attractive nose of intense sweet blackcurrant aromas mingled with hints of eucalyptus, herbs and nutty oak. The warm palate is nicely balanced by mid-palate fruit sweetness. This wine has plenty of grip, body weight and length to support time in the bottle, and while lovely now, it will continue to develop for ten years or more.

Hundred Tree Hill Chardonnay 1997
A pale golden colour, this wine exudes an intensely perfumed bouquet of melons and peaches. This smooth, Chablis-like wine is fresh and vibrant on the palate with fine acid and great length of fruit at the finish. Cellar for two to three years.

Hundred Tree Hill Pinot Noir 1997
This wine is the colour of red cherries. Its nose has a fullness of fresh raspberry jam blended with suggestions of toasty oak and damp earth. It is a medium-weight world champion with firm rich tannins and a generously smooth, fruity finish. This classic Pinot Noir will age well for at least five years.
Sommelier's Tip: Serve with chicken or turkey.

A pale brick-red hue in the glass, the wine emits the complex bouquet of eucalyptus, cinnamon and cloves mixed with mulberries. The palate is dry with a pleasing weight of spiced mulberry fruit. It finishes with fine acid and subtle oak flavours. Cellar for up to eight years.
