Estate Verdelho 2001 This fresh, award wining Upper-Hunter Valley Verdelho displays great weight of tropical fruit on the palate. The wine was picked very ripe to allow more concentration of tropical fruit, gooseberry acid and minerally aromas on the nose. The palate is full, rich with attractive grapey notes and obvious tropical fruit flavour. A powerful wine balanced by crisp acid on the finish, it is ready to drink now but has the ability to age well. Sommelier's Tip: Serve with a prawn hotpot.
