Yanmah Ridge Cabernet Merlot 1999
Displaying a complex and exciting range of aromas, this power-packed, densely red wine has deep blackcurrant, juniper berry, tobacco leaf and the crisp eucalyptus scents on the nose. On the palate it possesses sumptuous depths of lively blackcurrant and rhubarb flavours. It has medium weight and the tannins are fine on the finish. This wine is ready to drink now, however it will improve with age and is an excellent medium to long term cellaring prospect.

Yeringa Ridge Fruity Lexia 2001
This fruity Lexia is made from Semillon grapes slightly affected by botrytis to give the wine an edge of sweetness. Rich and golden coloured, the wine displays aromas of apricot, poached pear and ripe fig on the nose. The soft palate provides lovely, medium-weight fruit of pears and ripe fig. The wine finishes rather dryly with great acid balance at the conclusion. Can be left to develop further in the cellar for the next couple of years.

Yeringa Ridge Merlot 2001
Yet another lovely quaffing wine which is all about lifted ripe fruit, coffee essence aromas with some stalky hints. This fruit-driven, intense Merlot has plenty of depth with ripe, complex, sweet plum fruit and oak. It finishes with lovely, elegant, balanced acid. Easy to drink now and it will stay well for another couple of years.

Yeringa Ridge Semillon Chardonnay 2001
This comes almost as a relief after the deluge of heavy, oaky, over-worked Chardonnays so in fashion. With aromas of dried pineapple, guava, creamy lemon, lanolin and subtle oak on the nose, it is smooth, rounded and full of tropical fruit flavours on the palate. Keenly balanced, it is a good, all-round, easy drinking white. Drink young.
Sommelier's Tip: Serve with chicken broth.
