Red
Devil Classic White 2002 Produced
in the wilderness country of South Western Australia, an area renowned the world
over for its quality wines and its heritage listed forest, this classic blend
is a pleasing green/yellow in colour. With fresh, lifted apple/tropical fruit
on the nose it is also showing some delightful cut-grass with hints of lavender
complexity. Similar characters are displayed on the palate. The wine concludes
with a dry, fruity finish. Great wine for a great party. Don't wait, drink it

| Cedar
Creek Semillon Chardonnay 2002 Once again this wine comes as a
relief after the deluge of heavy, oaky over-worked Chardonnays so in fashion.
With aromas of dried fig, banana, creamy grapefruit, lanolin and subtle oak on
the nose, it is soft, rounded, and full of the flavours of tropical fruit on the
palate. Keenly balanced, it is a good, all-round easy drinking white. Region:

Geoff
Weaver Sauvignon Blanc 2002
This highly sought after wine is about as good as Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc
gets. Set to reap rewards from all areas of the wine market, it was crafted from
the challenges of a difficult vintage. It is a complex style that treads a fine
line. It does not have herbaceous tendencies but instead is full with gooseberry
and the tropical fruit flavours of pineapple and guava. The palate has an intensity
of combined tropical fruit and aromatic grasses which is balanced by a long acid
finish. A lively wine in the mouth, this sensational offering will cope with strongly
sauced dishes. This superb wine will continue to age well for up to five years.

Geoff
Weaver Riesling 2000
This will go down as a top vintage for Geoff Weaver. An enticing aroma of Jasmine
and Gardenia combine with pear hints to commence the tasting experience. The palate
is concentrated and mouth filling with retrained lemon, cream and apple flavours.
A refreshing acidity contributes handsomely to its fabulous structure and length.
A very long, luscious finish, completes this encounter with Spring. This wine
will continue to age well for more than ten years. A stunner! Region:

of Ponds Unwooded Chardonnay 2001
This is a step up from most unwooded Australian Chardonnays. An intruiging style
with a light golden hue, it has a young, full nose of grapefruit, rockmelon, straw
and creamy lees. The palate is smooth and balanced by grapefruit and rockmelon
flavours with a pleasing, rich and palatable texture on the finish. A beautifully
made wine to enjoy on a lazy afternoon. Region: Adelaide
Hills, SA | |
Milbrook
Sauvignon Blanc 2001
Here is a pale, delicate Sauvignon Blanc handled entirely in stainless steel tanks.
The wine shows good extract of green bean, asparagus and delicate green apple
fruit on the nose. It has plenty of delicate flavour on the palate balanced by
concentrated tropical fruit salad. It finishes clean with a typical Sauvignon
friskiness. A delightful wine to serve to friends over the next couple of years.
Sommelier's Tip: Serve with chargrilled chicken. Region:
Perth Hills, WA | |
